Hey Jake,

Thanks for the feedback. I agree with your position. You can have intelligent design and evolution as long as you don’t mind saying that the 6 days presented in Genesis 1 are descriptions of a time period other than days. Some Christians are unwilling to negotiate on this point.

I believe a person can still be a follower of Jesus and believe in evolution as long as you understand God as the architect behind all of it. I don’t think it is a point worth fighting over.

About Adam and Eve, I think we have two choices: 1. Adam and Eve existed as the Bible presents them. 2. Adam and Eve are an allegory of what is real. In other words, humanity was tempted and rebelled against God. Whether it was two real people or a story that describes all of us doesn’t matter.

Again, I don’t think it really matters what position you take because in either case what you have is God as the creator and humanity rebelling against Him. Also, in either case the Bible is still true and trustworthy as God’s Word.

response to our creation. I have always thought: why is it either God
OR big bang?… or Creationism OR Evolution-ism…The more I looked
into it, I realized that God designed the big bang that us infantile
beings are a part of, minute and insignificant as we are and also has
the capacity to berth physical changes in animal species to support
survival. My only question is (and this is NOT a challenge or question
of religious legitimacy) What’s up with Adam and Eve?
