I’ve read “Making College Count.” Great book. I love the idea of your senior breakfasts. We’re doing something similar with a book study of “Dug Down Deep” by Joshua Harris.

An idea that has worked well for us is sending a care package to our graduates that lands early in their first semester. We include letters from staff and small group leaders, a digital Bible study on a thumb drive with our ministry’s logo on it, a Starbucks card and candy. The general idea is, “We haven’t forgotten about you. You’re still important to us. Here’s some fun stuff. Don’t forget to get plugged into a church or ministry!”

Thanks for your comment and enjoy the senior breakfasts.

I especially like that thing you did with the “S”‘s. We have 4-5 Senior Breakfasts over the summer before college. This year I’m reading “Making College Count” and providing the cliff notes over breakfast for discussion. We also bring in graduates who both loved and hated their first year of college to tell their story. // Let’s continue to generate the tweaks!
